Nandos x Hot ones
SPICE UP THE USA
PROBLEM:
Nando’s lacks cultural relevance in the US, where the casual chicken market is saturated and competitors own the spotlight.
INSIGHT:
Spicy food doesn’t just make you sweat, it lowers your inhibitions. When the heat kicks in, people drop their guard, laugh more, and have conversations they wouldn’t anywhere else.
SOLUTION:
So why not focus on the HEAT. Turn Nando’s into the ultimate spice-fuelled social experience by partnering with the iconic US platform that celebrates heat and personality...'HOT ONES'. Launch limited-edition sauces, menu items, and in-store conversation cards inspired by the show’s style, giving people a reason to visit, share, and see Nando’s as a cultural hotspot.

*elevator music playing*
Video starts with a group of 3 friends sitting together in a booth at a Nando’s restaurant. It’s a very awkward atmosphere, no one knows what to say, and one of the friends is on their phone.

One person tries to start a conversation “soooo....I heard the Giants lost the game over the weekend”
“mmm, yeah I heard that” says one guy.

The other friend just nods their head.

back to awkward silence

Sean dressed as a waiter comes over with the wing roulette platter, “why don't we heat things up” *places platter on the table* “consider the silence broken”

All three grab a wing and bite into it. A couple of seconds pass as viewers noticebly see their faces change as the heat kicks in.

The music suddenly turns to a rocky fast-paced track whilst the group of friends all suddenly break out simultaneously into conversation.

*sound slowly fades out* “With our new Hot Ones range, there’s no better conversation than one had at Nandos” *in a lively american male voice over.
New sauces appear on screen, with type “go on, try it if you dare”
